1. Add one heaped teaspoon of Turkish coffee per cup into a cezve (Turkish coffee pot).
2. Add cold water (approximately 65–70ml per cup).
3. Add sugar if desired before brewing.
4. Stir well before heating.
5. Heat slowly over low heat without stirring again.
6. When the foam begins to rise, pour some foam into each cup.
7. Return the pot to the heat briefly, then pour the remaining coffee into the cups.
8. Allow the coffee grounds to settle for about one minute before drinking.
